Communications for the tactical last-mile. TICS WARRIOR is an ultra-portable solution that allows you to establish a Forward Operations Base or Command Post at a moment’s notice - anywhere. Designed to be a “First-In” communication lifeline to even the most extreme austere environments, TICS WARRIOR is a single-person-lift kit that is also easily transported via military or commercial aircraft and is commercial carry-on certified ensuring access to critical information.TICS WARRIOR provides access to critical information for incident management teams and supports Voice, Data and Video configurations to keep the incident response moving. Depending on the length of deployment, the TICS WARRIOR has several field power options including generator, solar power, or a hybrid solar/fuel-cell system for long-term deployment.

Ease of Use

Technology shouldn’t slow down response time. TICS WARRIOR is deployable by one person in minutes and does not require a network technician or IT specialist. Because the incident timeline changes communications requirements, TICS WARRIOR can utilize any viable uplink including BGAN, VSAT and 3G Cellular. The system includes an integrated Thrane&Thrane BGAN Explorer 700 to ensure readiness at anytime, globally. As the timeline progresses, additional capacity can be added by migrating to a fixed VSAT solution, offering the additional benefit of fixed Satellite access cost versus BGAN’s metered pricing. One of the key elements of TICS WARRIOR’s voice solution is the ability to keep the incident dialplan consistent regardless of the uplink in use. Using Tactical-Voice™ for the telephony system, TICS WARRIOR maintains the same phone numbers and dial plan regardless of uplink over 3G, BGAN, VSAT or terrestrial broadband.

When an incident occurs, agencies that are first to arrive need communications immediately. The TICS WARRIOR solution provides instant communications in unknown disaster areas and provides communications that are operative for the duration of a response and recovery period.

Reliable and Robust

Incident scenes are unpredictable. Response teams need 100% dependable communications no matter where they are operating. Used initially with Inmarsat BGAN services, TICS WARRIOR provides seamless network coverage across most of the world’s landmass. The integrated Explorer 700 terminal combines optimal performance with access to the highest bandwidth available on the BGAN network, making it ideal for applications where rapidly deployable teams need an exceptional level of availability, security and reliability.

As the length of deployment increases or team communications requirements grow, TICS WARRIOR can be migrated on-the-fly to a VSAT uplink using Tactical-IP™ Satellite Connectivity. This broadband VSAT service allows connectivity on flat-rate access up to 5Mb/s download and 2Mb/s upload anywhere in the continental United States. Migrating TICS WARRIOR to this solution gives responders a substantially more cost-effective and scalable reachback to ensure access to agency resources or to provide situational awareness and operational information to command staff. TICS WARRIOR can support Tactical-IP on auto-acquire or portable VSAT antennas from a variety of manufacturers.

Optional capability with the TICS WARRIOR solution is the use of ICS Outrigger™ Network Extension System. This allows the operator to scale and extend the capabilities of the WARRIOR to meet the operational footprint of the incident. This can be used to facilitate backup or recovery to an expanded Forward Operation Base, EOC, or Alternate Care Facility. The Outrigger provides additional wired connections for computers and phones, as well as an integrated wireless access-point for convenience and additional expansion. Outrigger modules can be cascaded for the ultimate in scalability.

Affordable

First responders don’t have time or money to spare, so we offer a variety of packages and pricing on the system and can include BGAN and VSAT satellite and voice services from the start. TICS WARRIOR is designed to be a low-cost but highly capable communication solution for first responders working with a budget, but without the option to limit capability.
