ICS Builds State-of-the-Art LTE Enabled Command Vehicle for Alcatel-Lucent
STEVENSVILLE, MD- Alcatel-Lucent, one of the world’s top global communication solutions providers, has taken delivery of a custom-built, state of the art command vehicle by Incident Communication Solutions, LLC (ICS).  Dubbed ‘Striker 1’ this SUV-based vehicle was designed, built, and integrated by ICS to provide Alcatel-Lucent with a unit to exhibit their latest 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) solutions.


Designed to demonstrate several Alcatel Lucent solutions and technologies including their mobile ICS Builds State-of-the-Art LTE Enabled Command Vehicle for Alcatel-Lucentpublic safety broadband network at tradeshows, events, and demonstrations, this vehicle is a high-tech, 4G hotbed on wheels.  Integrated on a 2007 Chevy Suburban, the vehicle received extensive auto-body work by ICS to create a visually engaging demonstration unit.   


Interior Communications Rack in Alcatel-Lucent Striker-1The exterior of the vehicle received an extensive upgrade to include new wheels, rims, grill and foot rails, as well as roof racks and mounts.  Once at a demonstration, four touch screen LED televisions can be mounted to the roof to show the Alcatel-Lucent technology in detail.  Several large speakers can also be attached to the mounts on the roof for broadcasting messages at events.  Each of the attachments that are placed on the vehicle can be easily set-up with the tool-less mounts.  


Built with rear-facing swivel seating, the interior rack area provides extensive streaming video functions.  Installed in the rack are several quad-monitors, video switching units as well as LMR communications and rack mounted computers for two operators.    


Striker 1 was conceived and built for the purpose of broadcasting Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE mobile system and streaming highBack End Network Module and cache of Alcatel-Lucent Striker-1 definition video over the network.  At the heart of this system is a back-end network module, installed in the trunk of the vehicle. A cache of Apple iPads, Blackberry Playbook’s, and Samsung Galaxy Tabs were installed on a slide-out rack custom designed and built by ICS.
