Stevensville, MD (March 11, 2009) – Incident Communication Solution’s, LLC (ICS) has recently upgraded the Anne Arundel County Emergency Operation Center providing the county’s Office of Emergency Management with a redundant satellite link and internet access.

With the addition of a satellite connection and IP Network, Anne Arundel County’s EOC will have communication capability in the event that their primary infrastructure is unavailable.  The satellite connection will also give the EOC the capability to communicate with any of the ICS solutions across the county including the Mobile Communications and Control Unit (MCCU), Anne Arundel County Police’s Tactical Command Post, and the County’s Regional Communication Centers’ TICSTM system.

“ICS continues to provide Anne Arundel County with innovative solutions that substantially increase our communication capabilities as well as provide us with technology that grows with the ever changing needs of public safety,” said Anne Arundel County’s Director of Emergency Management Captain Thomas Wilson.

The Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management coordinates resources and facilitates the response and recovery efforts of local, state, federal and private agencies in emergency situations.  The EOC is the county’s communications hub for emergency management, planning, and response.
