Stevensville, MD (February 10, 2009)- Incident Communication Solutions, LLC (ICS) has recently completed a retrofit of the Harford County (MD) Division of Emergency Operations Mobile Communications Center (MCC) that provides the county with enhanced communication capabilities.
Integrated with a turn-key IP-network and utilizing ICS’ Tactical-IPSM Broadband Satellite Service, the MCC will be able to access critical information, transmit real-time data, and have connectivity regardless of location, environment, or traditional infrastructure availability. Harford County will also utilize ICS’ Tactical-VoiceSM service which is a Voice-over-IP solution that uses any available means to connect users to the Tactical-Voice network (i.e. DSL, Cable, Satellite) giving the agency voice service in any situation.
Raytheon JPS’ ACU-1000 Radio Interoperability solution was integrated into the unit to provide the MCC team seamless communication with other agencies no matter what types of radios are being used. The MCC was also outfitted with a Winegard digital television antenna allowing personnel to monitor news outlets and other programming useful for situational awareness.
The Harford County Division of Emergency Operations is a multi-component agency. The Division is comprised of the 9-1-1 Communications and Dispatch Center, the Office of Emergency Management, and Hazardous Materials Response Team (HAZMAT).
