Annapolis Police Upgrades to TACTICAL-IP



  

Stevensville, MD (November 14, 2008) – Incident Communication Solution’s, LLC (ICS) announces that the City of Annapolis Incident Command Center has been upgraded to ICS’ Tactical-IPSM Satellite service. The department has also renewed their Tactical-VoiceSMservice contract, which will extend for another two years.

The Tactical-IP satellite service upgrade will give the Annapolis Police Department a solution that integrates voice-over-IP, Video Surveillance, Video Conferencing and other high speed data communications.  The agency will also experience much higher throughput rates (up to 3 Mb/s downlink and up to 1 Mb/s uplink) giving the agency improved communication’s capabilities.

The City of Annapolis Incident Command center will now operate using ICS’ Tactical-IP “Responder” Broadband Satellite Service Package which gives the unit full communications capabilities in any situation.  The “Responder” package offers 10 days per month usage for $325 per month.

Tactical-Voice service is a Voice-over-IP solution and uses any available means to connect users to the Tactical-Voice network (i.e. DSL, Cable, Satellite) giving the agency voice service in any situation.
