Laredo Fire Department Mobile Command Unit Provides City with Backup 911 Service During Technology Outage

LAREDO, TX- (August 25, 2011)- The Laredo (TX) Fire Department Mobile Command Unit provided 911 backup to emergency personnel when the local AT&T service was interrupted, recently. The mobile command unit, which was integrated by Incident Communication Solutions (ICS), allowed emergency personnel to continue operating vital services to the City of Laredo. By routing all 911 calls through the satellite on-board the MCU, Laredo City was able to answer emergency calls seamlessly and send response crews immediately.
