STEVENSVILLE, Md. (July 2010) - Incident Communication Solutions (ICS) has recently retrofitted the Richmond (VA) Emergency Management Agency’s Mobile Command Unit to provide the agency with greater communication capability and access.

Richmond Emergency Management Agency (REMA) took delivery their MCU in which ICS integrated a communications system comprised of a Cisco router providing converged IP communication, Raven X 3G modems, and Telular voice gateways to provide the agency with greater means of communicating in a mobile environment.

The retrofit of the REMA-MCU also included extensive new cabling, antenna rail mounting, and modification of an existing external connection panel. Installation of a DirecTV receiver and video server provides REMA with more video streaming and viewing capabilities when on scene.
