Sikeston Public Safety Takes Delivery of Mobile Command Vehicle

STEVENSVILLE, Md. -- Incident Communication Solution’s, LLC (ICS) has recently integrated a mobile command vehicle for The City of Sikeston (MO) Department of Public Safety.

The City of Sikeston Department of Public Safety took delivery a 35ft Mobile Command Vehicle, fully integrated by ICS to include satellite connectivity, IP Networking, Voice Telephony, and various other types of communications.  This command vehicle is outfitted with Cisco’s IPICS and Raytheon JPS’s ACU-2000, providing Sikeston Public Safety with a comprehensive communications interoperability solution.  These solutions allow disparate devices to communicate with one another seamlessly.  In addition to the voice communications, the unit is capable of video teleconferencing with other state and federal agencies.

“The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is proud to be the recipient of a Mobile Command Vehicle that was built by Frontline Communication and integrated by ICS,” said Chief Drew Juden. “This unit is truly a state of the art communication platform.  ICS took us from our conceptual design phase to being operation within our plan, timeline and budget.”

The integration of the Sikeston MCV is part of a five vehicle regionalized communications package integration for the State of Missouri.   Another large command vehicle was built and integrated for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, while three Suburban’s were integrated for several fire departments across the State.  These vehicles were purchased by means of Homeland Security Grant Funding.

The Sikeston MCV is equipped with a Cisco Mesh Access Point which can be used to create a wireless ‘incident area network’ between the vehicles when they are deployed to an incident scene.  The access points maximize all available channels, minimize interference from unlicensed devices, and minimize latency or time delay.

“The integration team at ICS is the best in the business, they truly understand Tactical Mobile Communication for first responders,” continued Chief Juden.  “Their support staff is second to none and we will always use ICS for our Tactical Communication needs.”
