STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Fort Worth Fire Department has recently taken delivery of a 24 foot Mobile Command Vehicle fully integrated by Incident Communication Solutions, LLC (ICS).
The turn-key IP network, designed and integrated by ICS, includes a TracStar .96 meter broadband satellite dish providing the Fire Department connectivity and reliable communications in any circumstance or condition. Included in the communications integration package are wireless access points, IP-Based PBX (offering access to Cellular Lines as well as satellite phone lines), Bosch digital DVR surveillance system, an AMX touch screen A/V routing system and exterior patch panels (audio, video, data, and voice) for interconnection with other agencies and departments on-scene.
Integrated into the Fort Worth Fire MCV’s network is Twisted Pair’s voice interoperability software application WAVE, which allows the Department to communicate with other agencies on the same incident site regardless of their communications devices. WAVE connects all dissimilar communications devices over one medium to allow for seamless interoperability.
Fort Worth Fire will deploy the MCV throughout the city for various emergency situations such as large-scale fires, accident investigations, and hazardous material accidents. The MCV will also be used to provide the department with better situational awareness at planned events including concerts and events at Cowboys Stadium, SuperBowl XLV, and events at the Texas Motor Speedway.
About ICS: Incident Communication Solutions, LLC, is a technology solutions provider specializing in the design, development and implementation of IP-based emergency communications.
